Nurdan Selay Bedir is a PhD student at the Department of Political Sciences and Public Administration at the Middle East Technical University (METU) and a research assistant at the Center for European Studies since February 2015. She received a Master’s Degree from METU Department of European Studies with her thesis titled “Transformation of Social and Political Demands through Ballot Box: From Los Indignados to Podemos” in 2017. She has a Master’s Degree from Ankara University Department of Latin American Studies (non-thesis program) with her study titled “Woman’s Participation in Political Processes in Latin America” in 2015 and two separate Bachelor’s Degrees from Atılım University Department of International Relations and Department of Translation and Interpretation in 2012 and 2011 respectively.
She has worked as a research assistant and as a researcher in several research projects like “FEUTURE – The Future of EU-Turkey Relations: Mapping Dynamics and Testing Scenarios”, “Power and Regions in a Multipolar Order” (PRIMO) and “Turkey’s Potential as Future Energy Hub” (Energy Hub Turkey). In the LEAP, she will act as the administrative coordinator and will help monitoring of the project and the budget as the Administrative and Monitoring Coordinator and a part of the Executive Board.
