Afrim Hoti earned his BA degree at Pristine University in 2001 and later on master degree (M.A. 2002) at the University of Sarajevo/Bologna on Human Rights and Democratization in South East Europe, a program supported by Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Commission. He finished his PhD studies (2013) at the University of Hamburg/Sofia, on the Globalisation as Factor of Security. Mr. Hoti has worked so far in different academic institutions in Kosovo but also other national and international institutions just like Advisor at the Kosovo Parliament, Government as well as Special Chamber of the Kosovo Supreme Court. He was continuously involved in different international projects with European Union, USAID, UNDP and so on. He is lecturing at Pristine University since 2004. Served as Head of the Department of Political Sciences/Pristine University, than shortly as vice dean for scientific issues at the Faculty of Philosophy and finally as vice rector for international cooperation at Pristine University where he led many EU projects with different universities. Teaches at international programs (Peace and Conflict Studies in the Balkans: Serbia, Bosnia and Kosovo, SIT Study Abroad, A Program of World Learning - University of Vermont, USA) and European Master Program on Democratization and Human Rights in South East Europe. He published a book, a monography and many articles at diferent international journals.
